De caravan gaat helaas niet lukken.
Die is in de meivakantie altijd voor Wim en Frouwkje!
Maar we vinden vast wel iets anders.
Er zijn ook hier wel ooms en tantes die op een bezoekje rekenen.
En jullie regelen de terugries maar zoals het voor jullie het beste uitkomt.
Ik pas me wel aan.

We are booked! Lambeth is like Ten Boer everything is close. We can walk to the Grocery store, the drug store, the liquer store, the beer store, the cleaners and the travel agency! We will be leaving on the 24th because it was about $200 cheaper. Jack won't mind as it will give us a bit more time at Pete and Mein. Just wondering what is easier. We leave at 9:20 am on May 14th can we catch an early train to Schiphol probably around 5 am or would it be better that we go back to Tiel on Monday and have Pete take us to the airport?

Sorry, I'm so confused We will be coming to your place on the 29th and leaving on the 14th. So arriving in Holland on April Fri. 26th and departing on Tues. May 14th.
Does that make more sense?

Sorry, I still got the leaving date wrong. We plan to leave on the 25th from Toronto and arriving in Schiphol on the 26st and arriving in Groningen on the 29th. Leaving Holland on May 11th.

Now about our trip! No problem waiting a week, but unfortunately can't put it off longer because we are booked to go camping on the 17th with our friends for the holiday weekend and I leave for Newfoundland for CMHC on the 21st. Hopefully that won't be too much for you after having your family the week before?
Our thoughts were to leave here on the 18th arriving in Amsterdam on the 19th We will arrange to have Pete and Mien pick us up and spend Friday night there and than go to one of my relatives some time on Sat. and leave for Groningen on Monday. I am quit excited about being there for the installation of your new King. We were in Holland when Queen Beatrix was installed. Than we will head for home on the 11th, which gives me two days to get a bit organized before camping etc.
If you are sure that this will work out with you than we will book our tickets!

Another busy weekend! Jack had to replace a temporary desk top for me in our office on Sat. which of course didn't go as quickly as he wanted it to. We than headed for Dad. We wanted to go earlier but Jack had a bad cold and than Dad had a touch of the flu. They were both doing much better and it gave us a chance to try out our new to us car, a 2010 Toyota Prius. So far it is great! Definitely much better gas mileage. Even though our Dodge Caravan was a great help with the move, it wasn't happy unless I put in at least $60.00 of gas every two weeks.
Dad is having less and less energy so needs more help which frustrates him very much to the point were he has been getting angry at the nurses because they don't come as soon as he would like. He is on oxygen all the time but he has to really remember to breath through his nose. We are wondering if that isn't his problem because when he sleeps he breaths through his mouth. I asked the nurse if she had one that covered his face, which she did, and we put it on him when we helped him to bed. He right away said that he felt much better. So far he hasn't slept too well but he knows it is a matter of getting used to it.
Sunday we visited Kina after supper, she had been coughing for weeks and than her back was sore and she could hardly walk. Her coughing has stopped and she does feel that she is slowly getting better.
After church when we bring Tante Janny home, we always visit with her a bit, before she goes for her supper. She is really starting to get used to it there and learning to cope with her shaking. Resting when she gets too shakey and not pushing herself. She is really doing well.
We heard from her that Oom Rieks had an operation, something about a nieuwe broek! We think that is a hernia operation? Where on earth do they get those sayings from! Definitely easier to buy new pants!

Jullie zijn welkom. maar dan liever de eerste weken van mei.
Op 26/27 april zijn alle slaapplaatsen hier in huis bezet.
Dan hebben we broer/zussen dag en dat is al lang geleden afgesproken.
Vanaf 29 april heb ik weer alle ruimte. En zijn de bedden voor jullie klaar.
Dan kun je de volgende dag ook de troonswisseling meemaken.
Het is in Nederland dan meivakantie, maar echte plannen heb ik nog niet van de kinderen gehoord. Kan dus geregeld worden.
En een pot koffie is gauw gezet. Er zullen wel meer dan 1 door gaan denk ik.
Veel succes met de voorbereidingen en ik hoor dan wel hoe het gaat.

Yes everything is now sold and the money is in the bank.
Talking about coffee, how about if we come around the last week in April & the first week in May to pick up the coffee. Will you make a new "hot" pot of coffee for us. We'll let you know better dates after we can make the arrangements. Or will this time not work for you.
That's what I was talking about. I don't think you understood what I was trying to say.

Heb de koffie net op. Als ik dat bij jullie moet halen is het koud denk ik.
Koud is het hier ook. We hebben deze week aan de lente mogen proeven, maar nu komt de winter terug! De komende dagen zal het gaan vriezen en goed ook! Brrrt.
Alles goed bij jullie?
Ik hoorde dat oom Rieks geopereerd is en nog in het ziekenhuis ligt.
De operatie is gelukt, maar wat het precies is weet ik niet.
Verder weet ik niet veel van de familie, hoor bijna nooit iets van iemand.
Als het straks beter weer is ga ik als eerste op bezoek bij tante Aaltje.
Dat heb ik belooft.
Is alles nu rond met de verkoop? Eindelijk rust?
