Our float in the parade on Saturday. Got a little windy at times so Ella is holding onto her hat. She was handing out candies along with the daughter of one of the girls who works for us. They did a great job.

How is the fog, getting any less? Today we had another beautiful day which was great as we spent most of it decorationg Chad's truck for the Santa Claus parade which is tomorrow. Jack will be taking pictures and we promise to send them ASAP!
It is suppose to be 12 tomorrow with nice weather in the morning and rain later in the afternoon. The parade runs from 11 to 12 so we should be OK. After that it appears our nice weather is finished. Rain on Sunday and then much colder. Can't complain they have had snow in other parts of the province, even in Chatham two weeks ago.

Lief van jullie! Het is zeker moeilijk zonder hem! Maar dat is het elke dag.
Vandaag hebben alle kinderen gebeld en Date en Mariëlle zijn er geweest.
Samen met hen heb ik weer heel wat papierwerk afgehandeld en heeft Date mij bewaard voor fraude
. Kreeg teveel uitkering...... Maar nu komt het weer helemaal goed. Hoop ik.
Aan ons ligt het nu tenminste niet meer.
We hebben in Nederland al dagen last van een erg hardnekkige mist.
En af en toe vriest het ook nog. Dus erg gevaarlijk om op de weg te zijn.
Zal dus blij zijn als Date en Mariëlle bellen dat ze weer veilig thuis zijn.

Dad will be able to go back to his place as soon as he is well enough. They have an agency that sends a nurse as often as he needs it to give him the antibiotics and change the dressings and will also look after the physiotherapists.
Just put up all the Christmas decorations in the store on Friday and still need to fix and finish the outside.
We have had some beautiful weather but it looks like rain for the rest of the week, just when we need to put new shingles on the roof facing the front of the house!

Dat is wel lastig. Komt oom Arend ook bij jullie? Als ze alle twee in het ziekenhuis zijn is het misschien nog wel te doen, Rennie. Maar als de beide heren thuis zijn, krijg je wel je handen vol! Hopen dat jij zelf dan weer helemaal beter bent.
Maar ik wens jullie heel veel sterkte, hoor! 't Is nog maar een week of 3, dus komt het wel dichtbij nu.
Wij hebben net het St. Maartenfeest gehad en er zijn 111 kinderen geweest. Het weer was prima, wel koud, maar gelukkig geen regen en wind. Morgen komen Henk en Rinette met de meisjes en Arjan met Lieke. Dus dan vieren we het nog even een klein beetje over.
Maar morgen komt ook Sinterklaas aan in Nederland. Een groot feest op TV.
Je zou er moe van worden........

Forgot to tell you, Dad is getting his operation on Dec. 1 and Jack is getting his on Dec. 9th. Jack was originally going to get his done in January but with all his Dad will have to go through we could still be very busy with him in January so decided to get it done as soon as possible. That way he should be doing much better by April also.

Jack has a coucil meeting first so I will drop him off at the church at 7.30 and than be back there by 9.30 so we can go on from there. He would have missed this one but he already missed the last one and he needs to do a presentation at 9 am in the morning. From Bowmanville we will go on to Kingston about another 3 hours so we can visit with Wes McConnell who is in jail there. We'll stay over night in Kingston and then visit the Kingston BFM store. Tonight will be a bit late but the next two days should be more relaxing as far as driving goes. I know Jack will feel better once he gets his visit with Wes done.
I took Tante Janny to Springbank park last week Thursday. It was a beautiful sunny day and she enjoyed it so much that she figured she would be good for at least another 6 days. I definitely will tell her about your trip through the fields and the cows!
Looking forward to next spring, great incentive for you to get your license.

I do seem to be getting better, but very slowly. Friday evening we went to Arthur for Sam and Marianne's daughter Kate's engagement party. I did manage to stay until 10 pm but the noise did make me feel pretty bad by the end of the evening, but by the time we came home I felt much better. They are getting married on May 11th so have been ordered to be back in time for the wedding. We of course want to also, just hope the baby doesn't come late!
We sure do remember St. Maartin and would love to be there helping you to hand out the candies and counting all the children. Great tradition, something like our Helloween but because there are no other houses on our street, the rest are all businesses, no one comes to our door.
Today was sunny this morning but now cloudy but still around 8. Tonight we are heading for a place just on the other side of Toronto where Jack has to be for 9 am meeting at a Bibles for Mission store.

Ja, ik lees wel vaak even, maar heb dan geen moed om iets te schrijven.
Sorry! Gaat meestal wel goed hier, hoor.
Krijg veel bezoek, telefoon en nog steeds kaarten.
Hier is het ook mooi weer. Ben vanmiddag op de fiets naar de Stad geweest om wat boodschappen te doen. Sint Maarten is volgende week en dan moet er snoep enz, in huis zijn.
Weet je nog dat jullie er ook een keer waren? Je mag komen hoor, om me te helpen. (graag!)
Net als andere jaren verwacht ik tussen de 100 en 125 kinderen. Ligt een beetje aan het weer.
Het weer is nu zo mooi, zo'n 15°, ik ben door de weilanden teruggefietst en de koeien stonden nog buiten! Mag je aan tante Janny vertellen, die vind dat altijd zo mooi.
Hoe gaat het met jou, Rennie? Kun je al meer zelf doen en drukte beter hebben?
En heb jij de afspraak voor je knie operatie kunnen verzetten, Jack?
En met pa Pieterman? Slaat de kuur aan of moet hij wel geopereerd worden?
Ik denk wel aan jullie hoor! Vind het ook wel fijn dat jullie in april komen. Het is dan lente en (meestal) mooi weer in Nederland.
Hoop dan ook weer te kunnen rijden, dan kunnen we nog wat bezoekjes doen.....(als je durft).

- Very quiet Lammieke, hope all things are well. We have been having some great weather! Yesterday we went to Grandparents day at Tim's school. He seems to have quieted down considerably since last year, which is a good thing. For lunch we could drive or walk to a hall just down the road about 1 km. We choose to walk, it was such a nice day and it was especially nice that we didn't have to rush back to work.
